Online Orders & Shipping Policy

All customers placing orders through our online store are required to acknowledge and accept all policies on this page at checkout. We strongly recommend that all customers read these policies carefully before placing an order.

No exceptions will be made on the basis that a customer did not read or understand the policies prior to ordering.


Shipping Locations

We ship birds within Australia and, where legally permitted, may ship internationally upon request. Customers are responsible for ensuring they comply with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.


Shipping Method

All bird shipments are conducted using Australia Post Express or approved private livestock couriers, depending on destination, weather conditions, and species.

Express services are the fastest available option and typically deliver within 1–2 business days, depending on airline and transport connections.

Example: Birds shipped on a Monday will normally arrive on Tuesday or Wednesday.

Please note that delivery estimates provided by tracking systems may not always be accurate. Based on experience, most shipments take up to two days to reach their final destination.


Temperature Restrictions

Birds can only be shipped when temperatures are safe throughout the entire transport route.

Shipping will not proceed if temperatures exceed safe limits, as transport vehicles are not climate-controlled.

Birds ship best in cool weather. Cold temperatures are not harmful, as shipping containers retain warmth. Heat, however, can be fatal.

We reserve the right to delay shipping due to high temperatures, extreme weather, public holidays, or any condition that may compromise bird safety. Most delays are one week or less.


Seasonal Shipping (Summer Restrictions)

Due to high summer temperatures in Australia, orders placed during peak summer months may be delayed until conditions are safe for transport.

Customers ordering during this period will:

  • Not receive shipment the following week

  • Receive an email within 72 hours confirming an estimated shipping window

  • Be notified if weather conditions require further delay


Shipping Schedule

Orders placed through our online store typically ship on the next scheduled shipping day after the order is placed, excluding:

  • Summer temperature delays

  • Public holidays

  • Pinioned bird orders

We do not ship birds during weeks where postal or airline services are disrupted, including major public holidays. In such cases, shipping is postponed to the next available week.


Address & Contact Information

Customers must ensure that all shipping information is accurate and complete at checkout.

Incorrect shipping details provided by the customer will result in no refunds or replacements. No exceptions.

Please provide a valid phone number that the courier or post office can use to contact you upon arrival. If no phone number is provided, shipment will still proceed, but collection responsibility remains with the customer.


Pick-Up at Post Office / Depot

Customers are expected to collect birds directly from the post office or courier depot.

We strongly recommend:

  • Contacting your local post office or courier in advance

  • Requesting immediate notification upon arrival

  • Not relying solely on tracking apps, as updates may be delayed or inaccurate

Allowing birds to be delivered to a residential address may cause delays and may void live-arrival guarantees.


Pinioned Birds

  • Pinioned birds require 1–2 weeks healing time before shipment

  • Orders for pinioned birds are final and non-refundable

  • Orders cannot be cancelled or modified once placed

  • Customers will receive a shipping date via email within 72 hours


Cancellations & Changes (Non-Pinioned Birds)

  • Orders may be changed or cancelled up to 48 hours before shipping

  • A 10% cancellation fee applies to all refunds

  • Requests must be made by email only


Tracking Information

Tracking numbers are emailed on the day of shipment, typically by 5:00 PM.

Tracking is sent only to the email address used during checkout.


Health & Documentation

All birds are guaranteed healthy at the time of dispatch.

  • Relevant health documentation (where applicable) will be attached to the shipment

  • Additional documentation must be requested before placing an order

  • Documents cannot be issued after birds have been delivered

Crates & Packaging

Birds are shipped only in approved live-animal shipping containers.

The cost of the correct shipping crate is included in the flat-rate shipping fee.

Shipping fees are charged at a flat rate and may not match the postage label cost on the box.


Communication Policy

📧 Email is the only accepted form of communication regarding orders.

This allows us to keep accurate records and ensure requests are handled correctly.

When emailing, please include:

  • Your order number

  • The email address used when placing the order

Requests made via phone, social media, or messaging apps are not guaranteed to be actioned.


Extreme Weather Events

If your area is affected by extreme weather (e.g. flooding, bushfires, cyclones), please notify us immediately so we can adjust your shipping schedule accordingly.
